Italy’ s Development Plan on Sports
for the Parsberg Meeting (Nov. 2001)

In order to carry out the Project "Sport and Arts in a Modern Context", as far as SPORT is concerned, we plan to proceed according to the following scheme:

	Survey on class members involved, regarding the students’ personal sports experiences.
	Sport at I.T.C. "A. Zanon": analysis of results reached at students championships (in co-operation with the school’s  Physical Education teachers).
	Regional and provincial scholastic sport in the context of the results obtained at a national level (in co-operation with the local Physical Education Office).
	Sports offer in the various towns the students come from, considering their sports practice aspirations (co-operation with the sports offices of the various towns).
	Survey on sports which are most practiced in this region and the major mass events (co-operation with C.O.N.I. – Italian National Olympic Committee – and Sports Federations).
	Survey on the most important competitive sports realities existing in our region.
	Social importance of sport (sport and disability, research on opportunities present on our territory).
	Sport and health (sports activities as a style of life).
	Exasperations and distortions of the real values of sports practice (sport and violence, doping).

Comenius 1 Project
"Sports and the Arts in the Context of Modern Life"
Art History

In view of the project Comenius 1 "Sport and the Arts in the contest of Modern Life", as regards Art History, we plan to proceed in the following way:

	Research of museums and of the principal sites, either archaeological or not, of great artistic and cultural value which are  present in our region's territory;
	Research on the principal exhibitions of art interest in our region and/or in the immediate vicinity (for example an art exhibit of Goya’s drawings and engravings is currently taking place at the Villa Manin, Passariano);
	Research on the artistic situation in smaller towns , especially in the ones where the students come from;
	Research of the art galleries present in Udine;
	Research of exhibitions, also at an amateur level, organised in Udine and in the student’s towns;
	Collection of particularly significant photographs of regional places which have an important artistic interest.

We plan to count on the co-operation of the Civic Museum of Udine, the Tourist Agency and of various public and private associations, of large artistic and cultural interest, as "Museum Friends", "Artemisia", etc.
