First Year
The general aim of the project is to achieve the development of the capacity to analyse and understand the mechanisms behind migration and integration and to make informed choices as open-minded and active young European citizens. The operational objectives of first year are: study implications of migration on the individual and the local community; Collect data and experiences from the different countries via questionnaires; Understand relevant notions and technical terms; Analyse and compare data and experiences; Present results as ppt; Analyse and understand newspaper articles on migration, exclusion and inclusion; Carry out an essay competition on 'migration'; Visit relevant institutions. Our approach is a communicative and a task-based one. The students have to take an active part in the planning and development of activities, making the results more meaningful to all those involved, searching for information using questionnaires and interviews, comparing data, writing surveys, drawing conclusions after oral debates and preparing guidelines.
